GREENBURGH – Westchester County Executive Andrew Spano has criticized Town Supervisor Paul Feiner in a letter to residents over a controversial affordable-housing project.

Spano said Feiner falsely told Fulton Park residents that the county would reopen a homeless shelter if they did not agree to the housing proposal on Tarrytown Road, a claim he avidly denied in an open letter to the community.

GREENBURGH – A nonprofit housing agency has downsized plans for a $16.5 million affordable-housing development, but residents still fear the project is too big, with the potential to increase traffic and worsen flooding conditions.

About a dozen residents from the Fulton Park section of Greenburgh met with Westhab officials Saturday to address their concerns about the revision that now calls for a five-story building with 40 apartments on a 0.7-acre parcel. A vacant two-story building on the development site is a former motel and homeless shelter.
